Why We Built This

Instagram doesn't make it easy to see who's unfollowed you — but that doesn't mean you're out of luck. We built Unifolllow to bring back transparency in a world that hides it. Tired of clunky apps requiring logins, subscriptions, or shady tracking, we wanted a simple and secure way to help people stay in control of their online presence.

Unifolllow is completely free, no logins, no data storage. Just you and your files — analyzed instantly, privately, and locally. It's a tool made by creators who were just as frustrated as you. We hope it helps.

How it works

Video Instructions

  1. Go on your Instagram page and download your data.
  2. Unzip the file you downloaded and add it into Unifolllow.
  3. Bonus: In the future, see an updated list of unfollowed users by clicking/downloading the "Download Follower Information" button to filter out those you've already seen.

Step by Step Instructions

  1. Go on the Instagram page of your profile and click on "Settings".
  2. Click on “See more in Accounts Center”.
  3. Then, Follow these steps:
    1. Click on "Your information and permissions"
    2. Select "Download your information"
    3. Click "Download or transfer information"
    4. Choose "Some of your information"
    5. Scroll down and find "Followers and the following"
  4. Click on "Download to device" -> "Create files" and be sure that the date range is set to “All time” instead of its default range “last year”. Either HTML or JSON is fine!
  5. Once your data is downloaded, unzip the file and add "followers_1.html" and "following.html" into Unifolllow.
    • You can also use "followers_1.json" and "following.json".
  6. Click on “Find Out Now” and see who has unfollowed you!
  7. Bonus: Click the "Download Follower Information" button to save your followers list as "known-following.txt". Next time, upload it with "followers_1.html" and "following.html" to only see new unfollowers.
